Support Youth Programming
We believe that it is important to teach little ones the importance of self care. This can look like different things for different people, and we endeavor to create different programming that targets different parts of our awareness.
Activities that we are looking to introduce to students include:
- Herbalism promotes self soothing (e.g. drinking mint tea if your stomach hurts) and can promote moments of mindfulness and stillness as you engage all your senses (feeling the warmth of the cup, inhaling the aroma of the scent, feeling into which body part feels affected after the first sip).
- Earth Yoga teaches how to manage emotions and learn self-control and acceptance.
- Acupressure can help develop agency over their own physical bodies by reacting to body discomfort (feeling a headache or nausea and learning which corresponding spot may help alleviate it).
If you find value in this wellness-centered education programing, consider sharing this project with others or donating to support our work.
